Wayfair Distribution Center Development

When Wayfair needed a distribution center capable of balancing a high volume of fast-moving shipping items, Pure Development collaborated to design Wayfair’s first last mile distribution center prototype that would serve as the model for future distribution sites.

The 158,000 square-foot facility includes a massive parking area capable of holding more than 500 trucks and trailers, and plentiful loading bays to serve the high-velocity operation.

Fast-moving items are processed through a long, narrow terminal section, while longer-term products are stored in a traditionally wider section of the facility.
